who also wrote the Gospel and three letters. Some scholars have claimed that there was more than one John: John the elder and John the revelator. But after investigating these suggestions, I have not found convincing evidence for the existence of other Johns. Other scholars give credence to the statement of the church historian Eusebius that two tombs for John existed in Ephesus.
